EAGLE SOARS TOWARD NEW HEIGHTS

Expanding EAGLE’s reach to new organizations, supporting those preparing for reaccreditation and building the strength of the EAGLE peer reviewer pool are the focus areas of the EAGLE Education Series launching in 2021. Presented in a series of three interactive sessions to be repeated throughout the year, the EAGLE Education Series serves as the foundation for recruitment and retention as EAGLE soars to become the accreditation of choice for faith-based organizations.

Session One: Introduction to EAGLE

This free 45-minute webinar provides an introduction to the Educational Assessment Guidelines Leading to Excellence (EAGLE) accreditation Program. This overview is designed for anyone seeking accreditation for the first time, interested in is the requirements to become accredited, or mandated to become accredited by state or federal legislation such as the Family First Prevention Services Act. Participants will gain an understanding of the key concepts that define EAGLE, the steps toward becoming accredited, and the benefits of accreditation. This interactive session led by Emily Robbearts (erobbearts@ouruma.org), Director of EAGLE Accreditation, allows opportunity to ask questions about the EAGLE process.

Session Two: Preparing for EAGLE Self-Study/Site Visit

This 90-minute training provides a basic overview of the EAGLE accreditation process including the EAGLE approach, milestones, and rating system; the EAGLE principles; tips to organize and develop the Self-Study submission and how to assess organizational readiness. This training is recommended for those who are newly assigned EAGLE accreditation responsibilities for their organization, including staff from organizations going through reaccreditation and those organizations pursuing accreditation for the first time. The session is led by Emily Robbearts (erobbearts@ouruma.org), Director of EAGLE Accreditation, who will be joined by an EAGLE coordinator from a current EAGLE-accredited organization. The interactive format will allow for discussion and opportunities to ask questions. There is a fee of $50 per person to attend this session, which can be paid by credit card (preferred) or invoice. NOTE: This session is free for individuals seeking certification as an EAGLE Peer Reviewer.

Session Three: Serving as an EAGLE Peer Reviewer

This 90-minute session focuses on the professional benefits of serving as a peer reviewer, an overview EAGLE rating/scoring process, key features of the on-site review and the role of both team members and team leaders. This training is a great refresher for current reviewers and is the third in a series of trainings to certify individuals for service as an EAGLE Peer Reviewer. Those seeking reviewer certification for the first time are required to complete the Introduction to EAGLE and the Preparing for EAGLE Self-Study/Site Visit sessions prior to attending this session. New reviewers are also asked to complete the EAGLE Peer Reviewer application and provide a resume in order to complete the certification process. The session is led by Emily Robbearts (erobbearts@ouruma.org), Director of EAGLE Accreditation, who will be joined by a current EAGLE Peer Reviewer. The interactive format will allow for discussion and opportunities to ask questions.
